Fair point, I didn’t mean to gripe that physician fees alone are out of control, rather that medical pricing is out of control (in fact, I probably should have reblogged the other chart entirely: http://mhudack.com/post/233073589/ilovecharts-suzany-scans-or-scams-part ). I actually considered doing that and picked this chart because I figured it was more accessible to most people (everyone goes to the Dr office, not everyone gets a CT Scan).
My point in posting/thinking about this, is that our system is suffering from something (IMO perverse incentives) that don’t seem to exist elsewhere, or, more importantly, in Medicare.

Y’all are barking up the wrong tree on this one…physician salaries are a meager 9% of that $2.5 trillion market. How many physician salaries could one $50,000 heart surgery cost? That’s about a half a year’s salary for one pediatrician.
